Lexical analysis of the english language
According to the course's objectives, by the end of the semester students should be able to apply different lexical items in the construction of written and oral discourse as well as to develop learning strategies to acquire vocabulary and expressions in L2.
There are five specific objectives in this course which are:

Characterise different periods in the history of the English Language

Characterise word formation processes in the English language

Analyse words in terms of free and bound morphemes

Identify different registers and pragmatic contexts

Use vocabulary, jargon and expressions appropriately

This is a useful game that can help students to learn the location of some countries in a map through an interactive way. It is not only a lot of fun and very challenging, but also very interesting and educational.

This is a website where you can find phrasal verbs with its meaning context and examples. it is very helpful when studing phrasal verbs to know what they mean in a well-organized way.

This page contains exercises with collocations. It's very important to practice collocations because it is extremely hard to learn them by heart, so this webpage comes handy when studing some of them.
